Experience

Elliot is a Partner at NBC Law, specializing in real estate and finance law with an emphasis on commercial property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and financing. He represents individuals, private companies, private equity firms and lenders in all phases of transactions involving the acquisition, disposition, leasing, management, and financing of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, senior housing, and continuing care retirement communities.

Elliot has extensive experience representing clients on a wide range of real estate transactions including negotiating purchase and sale agreements for various forms of commercial property, and negotiating leases and subleases of office, retail, and industrial properties.

He has represented institutional lenders and borrowers in sophisticated real estate finance, secured lending and securitization transactions including mortgage, construction, and mezzanine loan financings, asset-backed credit facilities, and CMBS and RMBS transactions.

His practice concentrates on commercial real estate acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing transactions involving long-term care facilities and senior housing, where he negotiates and drafts a wide range of agreements including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, partnership/operating agreements, joint venture agreements, operations transfer agreements, management agreements, and loan documents.

With more than 20 years of experience in real estate law, Elliot brings deep expertise to complex transactions in the healthcare real estate sector. Prior to joining NBC Law, he gained valuable experience at prominent firms including Dechert LLP, where he specialized in real estate finance and securitization transactions, Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, where he worked on mortgage-backed securitizations, and Corrado Montgomery, representing European fashion and luxury goods companies in corporate and real estate matters.
